Zusammenfassung: | The present invention pertains generally to automobiles having automatic transmissions, and particularly to a system for selectively controlling the actuation rate of the automatic transmission throttle valve.
A system () for controlling a transmission throttle valve in a vehicle having a fuel management device () having a rotatable linkage member () includes an adapter plate () which is mountable beneath the fuel management device (), a bracket () which is connectable to the adapter plate (), and a throttle valve cable () which is connectable to the bracket (). Throttle valve cable () has a tubular housing () which is fixedly connectable to bracket () and a cable () which is slidably disposed within tubular housing (), the cable () having a first end () and an opposite second end connectable to the transmission throttle valve. First end () is selectively connectable along a slot (Different first end () connection positions along slot () result in correspondingly different rates of cable pull and therefore different transmission responses. |
