Direct-light-type planar light source apparatus and liquid crystal display device

The present invention relates to a direct-light-type planar light source apparatus and a liquid crystal display device. A liquid crystal display is described having a front frame, a rear frame and a light source, in which the rear frame and light source may be easily removed from the front frame. The arrangement also permits frame narrowing in the liquid crystal display. A diffusion plate is set between the front frame and the rear frame; lamps are set in the rear frame facing the diffusion plate. Side faces of the front frame and the rear frame are fastened together by removable fasteners.
