Lubricant containing molybdenum and polymeric dispersant

This invention relates to engine oil lubricants and engine oil lubricant concentrates having enhanced frictional properties and improved fuel economy, methods for their preparation, and their use. The lubricating oil compositions of this invention are particularly useful as crankcase lubricants. The boundary friction properties of lubricating oils are improved by including at least one polymeric ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer derived dispersant and a molybdenum compound into a lubricating oil of a lubricating viscosity. A concentrate for addition into an oil of lubricating viscosity is also disclosed.
