Intermodulation grating lobe suppression method

The invention relates to the field of antenna communication systems. More particularly, the present invention relates to phase array antenna systems communicating dual frequency signals generating intermodulation grating lobes. A grating lobe suppression method is applied to a phased array antenna system having antenna array elements that are grouped in regularly spaced subarrays each having a plurality of regularly spaced antenna elements within the subarrays for suppressing intermodulation grating lobes generated within a field of view of the antenna system when amplifying two modulated carrier communication signals at respective two different frequencies.
