Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:This invention relates, in part, to newly identified polynucleotides and polypeptides; variants and derivatives of the polynucleotides and polypeptides; processes for making the polynucleotides and the polypeptides, and their variants and derivatives; agonists and antagonists of the polypeptides; and uses of the polynucleotides, polypeptides, variants, derivatives, agonists and antagonists. In particular, in these and in other regards, the invention relates to polynucleotides and polypeptides of a mouse chemokine receptor, hereinafter referred to as "mouse CC-CKR5". Mouse CC-CKR5 polypeptides and DNA (RNA) encoding such mouse CC-CKR5 and a procedure for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for utilizing such mouse CC-CKR5 in the development of gene knockout mice for use as a model for human immunodeficiency virus.
