Filter element including a baffle plate and end cap adhesively bonded thereto

This disclosure concerns generally a fluid filter. In particular, this disclosure relates to a filter incorporating an end cap with a unitary cover, with an extension of filter media potted in the end cap. A filter assembly including a filter element having an extension of filter material potted in an end cap, the potting adhesive material potting the filtering material into the end cap and further adhering the end cap to a hub of a baffle plate. The end cap is an open end cap having an outer perimeter and an inner perimeter defined by a portion of the hub.
