The read/write methods split a read-block or write-packet range in to several sub-ranges to simplify the complexity of the related read/write procedures and reduce the required capacity of DRAM buffer for the read/write procedures of the CD-MRW. The sub-ranges are continuous, partial, or defect ranges of packets or blocks.
