[EN] The present work comes from the formal and aesthetic interest that transmit images of different iconography created in the late nineteenth century on hysterical women in La Sa lpêtrière , collected in various volumes Iconographie Photographique . The analysis of the origin and context of this iconography and its subsequent influence on society, art and culture has helped us locate our aim of study. This document is the result of a preliminary investigation focused on the physical manifestations of illness or mental disorders. Then through reflection and experimentation we have discovered a general interest in any psychic manifestation on the face and body, focusing on the time fr agments of a specific symptom: hysteria. As a result , we have obtained a photographic series of hysteria represented in the female image , which in the future will be wo rked from the sculptural field. This final master work is the result of a practical and theoretical research using different sculptural and graphic methodologies about the image of hysteria. [ES] El presente trabajo nace desde el interés for mal y estético que nos transmiten las imágenes de las diferentes iconografías creadas a finales del siglo XIX sobre mujer es histéricas en La Salpêtrière , recogidas en los diversos volúmenes de las Iconographie Photographique . El análisis del origen y conte xto de esta iconografía y su posterior influencia en la sociedad, cultura y el arte nos ha ayudado a localizar nuestro objeto de estudio. Este trabajo es fruto de una previa indagación centrada en las manifestaciones físicas de las enfermedades o trastorn os psíquicos .
