Zusammenfassung: | [EN] Academic tutoring is a modality of the teaching activity that comprises educational actions focused on the student and complements teaching, without replacing it. Since it is a strategy of the teaching-learning process aimed at the improvement, on the part of the students, of scientific skills and understanding of the subject, it is essential to assess the ways in which teachers exercise it. In this sense, the objective of this work was to identify the opinion that undergraduate students have regarding the performance of their professors during academic tutorials in a Higher Education Institution. The academic tutoring subscale of the Student Opinion of Teaching Practice Questionnaire -COPDE- was applied to 1219 students, composed of 11 multiple-choice questions and one open-ended question. Non-parametric tests were applied to compare the students opinion of the teacher s performance in academic tutoring. The content of the opinion to the open-ended question was analyzed according to the categories of teaching methodology; evaluation and adjustment to the program; and attitude and professional ethics. The findings show correspondence between the quantitative and qualitative analyses in terms of significant differences in the students opinion regarding teaching performance according to semester and shift, but not by sex. It is important to establish criteria to evaluate quality mentoring skills in order to improve and strengthen this activity.
[ES] La tutoría académica es una modalidad de la actividad docente que comprende acciones educativas centradas en el estudiante y complementa la docencia, sin sustituirla. Al ser una estrategia del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje encaminada al mejoramiento, por parte del estudiantado, de las habilidades científicas y comprensión de la asignatura, es central valorar los modos en que los profesores la ejercen. En este sentido, el objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar la opinión que estudiantes de pregrado tienen respecto al desempeño de sus profesores durante las tutorías académicas en una Institución de Educación Superior. Se aplicó la subescala de tutorías académicas del Cuestionario de Opinión de la Práctica Docente por Estudiantes -COPDE- a 1219 estudiantes, compuesto por 11 preguntas con opción múltiple y una abierta.
