Zusammenfassung:Brucellosis disease affects and infects different domestic species, which includes man and goats, which in the latter species may be present 3 biovars of Brucellamelitensis, causing huge economic losses to the producer and the health sector for its zoonosis. The objective of this work was to determine location and cost of brucellosis in five herds of goats Cuesta Blanca in the state of Puebla, Mexico. The study includes blood sampling on 5 herds limited to a radius of 500 meters (north, south, west and east) herd (medullary) located in the center of the community goats, yielding 590 sera of the total population being studied transportation to the laboratory of SAGARPA and apply the Rose Bengal test and Rivanol. The results show an infected population of 48 goats which represent the 8.13% of serology analyzed 590 samples sent to the laboratory of SAGARPA. The most affected areas were the south, west and east by dairy profile, reflecting increased susceptibility to goat meat producers. It was found in the 5 Cuesta Blanca goat herds positive in study 48, which comprised 43 females and 7.2% seroprevalence represent; in the case of males seroprevalence reached 0.83% with an average of 6.8% reactors of 590 sera analyzed. It is concluded, must be retained control scheme according to the International Standard (NOM-041-ZOO-1995), and its eradication through the sacrifice of reactors with a program of government recovery in the short or medium term (cash-species).
