Auxin (Indole-3-acetic acid), gibberellic acid (GA3), abscisic acid (ABA) and cytokinin (Zeatin) production by some species of mosses and lichens

In this study, the levels of endogenous free, bound and total auxin (Indole-3-acetic acid, IAA), gibberellic acid (G$A_{3}$), abscisic acid (ABA) and cytokinin (zeatin) were examined in some species of mosses and lichens. For determination of the levels of these plant growth regulators, spectrophotometry was used. Our findings show that the mosses and lichens used in this study produce the plant growth regulators IAA, G$A_{3}$, ABA and zeatin.
