Zusammenfassung:As measured, the nature of the parent-daughter relationship has little correlation with the daughter's progress in courtship. Appearance, the wish to be married, the absence of career drive, and favorability of the early dating situation are correlated with courtship progress. The data are interpreted as suggesting a sex difference in personality development, and hypotheses for further study are presented.
