Zusammenfassung:Summary We report on a 15-year-old girl with therapy-resistant Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. After 10 months of sodium valproate monotherapy (2400 mg) we introduced lamotrigine (25 mg every second day) as “add-on” therapy. During this time we observed no seizures. Two weeks later the patient developed a maculopapular rash with oedema of the mucosa and a thrombocytopenia but without clinical signs of bleeding abnormalities. After discontinuing lamotrigine and under adding of prednisone the rash and thrombocytopenia gradually improved.
