An Efficient One-Step Method for the Conversion of β-(Dimethylamino)sty­renes into Arylacetonitriles

ABSTRACT A new simple and efficient one-step method for the preparation of arylacetonitriles by reaction of β-(dimethylamino)styrenes with hydroxylamine hydrochloride in formic acid solution is described.
