Imaging endogenous dopamine occupancy of the D2 receptor in rat brain with [11C]MNPA

Conclusions: Assuming that there was no upregulation in the density of the D2 receptor during the short period of DA depletion, these results suggest that a significant proportion of striatal D2 receptors in the high affinity state is occupied by endogenous dopamine under baseline conditions.
