Periodontitis confounded the use of serum MMP‐9 in diagnostics of ACS. Cardiac status complicated the use of saliva TIMP‐1 in periodontal diagnostics. Saliva biomarkers could not be used in ACS diagnosis, and serum biomarkers were not useful in diagnosis of periodontitis.
Conclusions
