Zusammenfassung:During the late 1930s and early 1940s, there were a number of committees in Sweden that aimed to help war-affected children in various countries. The effort for Finnish children is well known, but the voluntary work for the children of other European countries has hardly been highlighted. Children were in focus, but in motivations for commitment and willingness to work there were large differences where moral, political, economic and cultural values became clear.
