Zusammenfassung:In this paper we analyze the impact of different ad hoc routing schemes on TCP traffic in multihop ad hoc wireless networks. Our hypothesis is that beyond a certain network size the uncontrolled broadcast transmission of routing messages will seriously degrade the performance of the TCP protocol. We experimentally determine the admissible operation ranges of MANETs where the level of such degradation is still acceptable for end users.
