Zusammenfassung:We conducted a diary study of how 19 experienced users accessed the Internet from cell phones. Our data show that participants often chose the cell phone to access the Internet even though they had access to a computer, and the most common location for Internet access being the home. Reasons for choosing the phone over the computer were speed, convenience and a desire to use the phone for fun. Additionally, the phone is kept close and is always on which makes it convenient to use. The traditional motivation for mobile services “finding out something about where you are” only accounts for 15% of the user activity.
