Zusammenfassung: | In a supplementary pedagogical training (KPU), a programme for trainee teachers, a series of seminars on language-development approaches has been held for teacher trainers. The aim of the seminar series was primarily to provide teacher educators with new insights and increased understanding of the situation of student teachers in terms of academic language and writing. The aim was also to modify courses to increase student teachers’ opportunities to develop their writing and to increase their sense of inclusion within the programme. The text describes the implementation of the seminars, and the introduction of an integrated language strand in the programme. The preliminary results that can be interpreted at this stage show that the changes contribute to support students’ language development. |
