Current Status of the Lake Vistytis in Kaliningrad Region

The paper analyzes the basic parameters of the ecosystem of the unique Kaliningrad Region oligotrophic Lake Vistytis. It shows its sufficiently stable conditions for most of the considered parameters. However, there are manifestations of local expressions of meso- and even eutrophy associated with poorly controlled development of recreational areas. The paper confirms high fishing status of the water body and offers recommendations on its rational use.
