Zusammenfassung:Renovations of assembly spaces are carried out due to a large variety of reasons. These could range from a desire for improved aesthetics, use of up-to-date technologies, recovery from damages or even repurposing for a different purpose. As the project does not start off with a clean slate, it brings many constraints that may prevent acousticians from using their conventional methods of solving certain problems and make them return to the first principles of such problem-solving. The authors believe that some of the most interesting and educational projects they have been involved in were such renovation projects. In this paper, they present a collection of valuable insights gained by their consulting firm in the recent past while working on assembly space renovation projects.
