Moringa Oleifera – A natural coagulant for treatment of water

Water is one of the basic human needs. The majority of people in rural areas rely on easily accessible, mostly low-quality water sources due to the high cost of treated water. More than a billion deaths have been recorded solely due to the consumption of impure water especially in the developing countries.6 million people died of diarrhoea out of which 2 million are children. If proper steps are not taken, then this situation will persist. So, our main aim is to provide good quality of water by using naturally obtained coagulant -Moringa Oleifera seed powder for purification of water. Various parameters of water like pH, turbidity, temperature and MPN are analysed the both earlier and later treating with various doses of Moringa Oleifera seed powder, thus efficiency of Moringa Oleifera in purification of water is evaluated.
