Zusammenfassung: | In this study, the primary objective is to evaluate and contrast the drying characteristics of natural drying methods and solar drying methods for prawns. Detailed instructions and materials: Solar plates, a charge controller, a temperature indicator, an LCD screen, and a solar panel are all components that are required for the project that is now being worked on. A one-of-a-kind sun dryer is used to dry the prawns, and both the rate of drying and the amount of moisture present are carefully checked. In the first group, there were twenty participants who used the natural drying method, and in the second group, there were twenty participants who used the solar drying method. They were both participants. In order to determine the rate at which prawns dry out, forty samples were put through the set of criteria that were selected. For the purpose of estimating the size of the sample, the G power calculation was carried out at a level of 80 percent, with a confidence interval of 95 percent and an alpha value of 0.05. Findings: When the prawns are dried using solar drying, the rate of drying is 48.33 percent for 10 grammes, however when they are dried using natural drying, the rate has decreased to 29.58 percent for the same weight. The Noval sun dryer is the most effective method for drying seafood. These findings are marked by a number of significant divergences. At a significance level of p≤0.05, there were differences observed between two groups, one of which utilised solar drying and the other of which utilised natural drying. The solar drying method and the natural drying approach both produced a distinction that was statistically significant, with a p-value of 0.001 (p≤0.05). In conclusion, the findings of this study indicate that solar drying is superior to natural drying in terms of the amount of moisture that is extracted from prawns. It was suggested that solar energy may be used to dry prawns because it is a process that is both safe and environmentally friendly. The results of a statistical test revealed that there are notable differences (P |
