Zusammenfassung: | This paper presents a rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna (MPA) with a coaxial probe feed improved for fifth-generation (5G) mobile handsets. The design aims to increase bandwidth and gain and reduce return loss. Adding a Superstrate at a distance of (0.5 λ) from the radiator improves the antenna performance. In contrast to the conventional design, the suggested antenna exhibits a return loss of -62 dB and an impedance bandwidth of 3.8 GHz. Additionally, the antenna is lightweight, compact, and cost-effective. At the operating frequency of 28 GHz, a significant gain of 7.73 dB and a Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) of 1.001 have been achieved. The CST Studio Suite simulation software simulates the antenna on an FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4. |
