Zusammenfassung:Plasmonic copper chalcogenide (Cu2−xE, E = S, Se, Te) nanoparticles (NPs) possess high potentials in photothermal therapy and photoacoustic tomography for their unique localized surface plasmon resonant absorption in the second near-infrared biologically transparent window. In this study, strong thermal-induced nonlinear negative-lens effect in aqueous suspensions containing Cu2−xSe NPs was observed. Furthermore, the nonlinear absorption was notably enhanced in aqueous suspensions containing Au@Cu2−xSe core–shell NPs, as the positive nonlinear absorption coefficient increased by 20-fold, attributed to the strong plasmonic coupling in Au@Cu2−xSe core–shell NPs. This finding underscores the importance of the nonlinear optical behaviors of plasmonic NPs in biomedical applications, as they offer extra strategy for optimizing systems and incorporating additional functionalities.
