Zusammenfassung: | The most common construction materials i.e. cement sand and stone chips cause’s environmental issues in their production. Huge amount of CO2 is released into the atmosphere during manufacture of cement. Quarrying for sand and production of stone chips create environmental hazards leading to global warming and other issues, waste materials may be suitably used in construction industry. The present paper investigates and examined the suitability of fly ash and recycled aggregate in replacing cement and natural stone aggregate in construction; cement concrete specimens were prepared by replacing cement upto 20% along with recycled aggregate in mix design M20, M25 as per IS: 10262-2009 and respective tests were conducted i.e. water absorption, sorptivity, strength tests. The results were compared with those of conventional cement concrete specimens. The results for fly ash and recycled aggregate concrete are suitable for sustainable development and construction purposes. |
