Zusammenfassung:In recent years, complex architectural designs have been used to construct several multi-story and commercial structures. Buildings with floating columns pose a serious threat in actively seismic grounds. Existence of this floating column in the structure alters the course of weight transfer, changing the structure’s behaviour and how it transfers load. The lateral force analysis of a floating column structure with a G+10 story height is examined. The main objectives are to determine whether a structure constructed in seismic zone II is safe or unsafe when using a floating column, to investigate how multi-story buildings with floating columns respond to earthquake excitations, and to identify the most vital and ideal position for a floating column within a structure. Using the premise that all of the loads will be applied to the structure at once when it is complete, the response spectrum analysis is used to evaluate construction models. The CSI ETABS 2018 software is used to assess the building models.
