Zusammenfassung:This article attempts to study the impact of challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in India in their work-family conflict and the mediating effect of entrepreneurial leadership exhibited by them. The study was conducted with a structured questionnaire provided to a stratified sample of 680 women entrepreneurs from the first four most populous districts of Tamil Nadu, in India, namely Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Madurai. The study used multiple regression to identify the impact of various challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, which in turn resulted in a work-family conflict. As per multiple regression, 91.7% of variance in the work family conflict is explained by the independent variables. The mediating effect of entrepreneurial leadership was examined using Structural Equation Modelling. The SEM findings depict that though various challenges impact the work-family conflict, entrepreneurial leadership reduces the impact of the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs.
