Zusammenfassung:This paper presents our recent effort to reproduce several combination of multiboot Linux operating systems in the form of USB flash drive. The motivation behind the research was to take advantage of current green environment flagship by taking it in the case of developing green and energy efficient IT infrastructure through open source Linux operation system implementations. A simplistic energy consumption calculation is taken into consideration in this paper in order to compare the Multiboot USB Linux and Windows operating systems. The results show significant energy efficiency by the application the Multiboot USB Linux proposed in this study in comparison to Windows operating systems. The result shows positive impact of our approach to support the ultimate objective of green IT infrastructure.
