Zusammenfassung:Solanum lycopersicum L. is one of the agricultural crops with high economic value and is widely cultivated in Lampung. Production of tomato plants in Lampung province has decreased several times due to infection with plant diseases, one of which is infection of TYLCV. This virus belongs to the genus Begomovirus, family Geminiviridae, which is transmitted by whitefly vector (Bemisia tabaci Genn.). This study aims to detect the presence of TYLCV that infects tomato plants in Lampung based on symptoms, plant resistance, and virus distribution patterns. The survey results showed that several tomato plants in six locations, namely Agom, Takabau, Kedaton, Gunung Sulah, Sukarame Baru, and Kaliawi Persada Villages in South Lampung Regency and Bandar Lampung Municipality indicated that they were infected with TYLCV. The collection results obtained a total of six samples of tomato plant leaves with a variety of symptoms indicating TYLCV infection, such as mosaic, leaf curling, cupping, yellowing, easily crushed leaves, and stunting. Analysis of plant resistance level showed 50% very susceptible, 33.3% susceptible, and 16.7% moderately resistant. Analysis of the distribution of TYLCV in tomato plants in two regency/municipality in Lampung showed a broad and even distribution pattern of infection. This study proves that TYLCV infection in tomato plants in Lampung, especially in the South Lampung Regency and Municipality of Bandar Lampung has been very severe.
