Zusammenfassung:Mathematics learning can be linked to local wisdom/local culture. The purpose of this study was to explore by describing the geometric elements found in typical South Sumatran snacks which involved prospective teacher students at PGRI Palembang Elementary School. Data and information will be taken through observation or observation and literature. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. In this study, the research subjects who were asked for information were prospective elementary school teacher students. The results of the exploration and analysis of this research data show that there is a geometric concept in traditional snacks in South Sumatra. The results obtained from the exploration of finding geometric concepts contained in these snacks include: 1) flat shapes (square, rectangle, triangle, circle,. 2) build spaces (balls, cubes, blocks, pyramids, and tubes). The results of this exploration can be used for new learning resources in learning mathematics. Starting with showing the pictures first to the students, then showing the original shape of the snacks, the last step is making geometric shaped snacks.
