Zusammenfassung:UAVs, unmanned aerial vehicles, have become widespread in various spheres of life. Initially, they were used in solving combat missions and in weather forecasts. An increasing demand for UAVs is observed in the civilian sphere, when monitoring various territories. In the event of a hazard that could put people’s lives at risk, an immediate response is required. Now volunteers are often used to search for missing people, who are mainly involved only in the daytime. The paper considers the issue of developing software for calculating the optimal route when building a flight plan for an unmanned aerial vehicle, taking into account energy consumption. When using UAVs, the surveillance technology refers to unmanned technologies, without the direct participation of a person in the situation assessment zone. The introduction of the modified traveling salesman problem into the UAV system when building a flight plan will increase the efficiency of monitoring the area and minimize the human error factor when piloting the UAV.
