Zusammenfassung: | Corrosion inhibitors that are favorable to the environment have attracted a lot of attention in recent times as a result of the growing environmental problems created by the extensive usage of toxic inorganic and organic corrosion inhibitors. Environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors classified as green corrosion inhibitors act as an excellent substitute to avoid toxic corrosion inhibitors. Because the green inhibitors are made from renewable resources, they have low cost and high inhibitory efficiency while having little or no environmental impact. This review article describes the research about use of natural chemicals as inhibitors. In this article, the type of green inhibitors such as gums, medicines, plant extracts, ionic liquids, natural oils, etc have been discussed. In addition, the efficiency of various corrosion inhibitors is reviewed, as well as the methodology utilized to test them and the fundamental inhibitory mechanisms. |
