Zusammenfassung: | The role of fuel qualification is key to supporting the development of PWR fuel pin prototype to support Indonesia’s nuclear power plant program. A User Requirement Document (URD) was prepared in 2021 to define the PWR fuel pin prototype specifications and qualifications that the future owner of NPP can adopt and use. Fuel qualification comprises characterization, quality control, and quality assurance. Evaluation of acceptance limits and characterization methods was performed. Assessment of the existing quality control capacity was performed, gaps were identified, and follow-up actions were proposed. Quality control results of the fabricated fuel pin, i.e., dummy pin and pin containing natural UO2 pellets, are discussed for future improvements to meet the specifications set in the User Requirement Document. |
