Zusammenfassung: | This study includes the thermoluminescence (TL) characteristics of pure and eu3+ doped barium aluminate (BANP:Eu) powder samples synthesized by combustion method at a temperature of 700°C. From the x-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra, the crystalline form of the powder possessing a hexagonal structure was observed. The field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images show the agglomeration of the particles. The TL glow curves of the powder samples are obtained upon irradiation with ultraviolet (UV) light at different times. The kinetic parameters of the glow curves were calculated by Chen’s peak shape method. The glow curves for the two samples are found to obey second order kinetics. |
