Enhancing the mechanical qualities of dental ceramics based on nano Zirconia and Yttria and other additive materials
In this work, teeth were prepared from (Zirconia - Yttria) systems to manufacture ceramic teeth. Yttria powder (Y2O3) and Magnesium oxide (MgO) were added to Zirconia in different proportions (2%, 3%, 4%, 5%) to determine the best ratio as a stabilizer for Zirconia. Alumina was also added to the sys...

Zusammenfassung: | In this work, teeth were prepared from (Zirconia - Yttria) systems to manufacture ceramic teeth. Yttria powder (Y2O3) and Magnesium oxide (MgO) were added to Zirconia in different proportions (2%, 3%, 4%, 5%) to determine the best ratio as a stabilizer for Zirconia. Alumina was also added to the system (Zirconia - Yttria) in proportions (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%). The work method was semi-dry squeezing to prepare samples at a pressure of (2.5) tons and sintering at 1570 ° Cm. The following physical tests were studied: (the apparent porosity resulted in an apparent porosity (0.05%), volumetric density, result (6 g / cm 3), and the following mechanical tests: Vickers’ exact hardness, the highest value was 1600 Mpadiametrical strength, and the highest results were obtained when combined with Nano-alumina, which reached 70 MPa at 15% reinforcement. |
