Zusammenfassung: | An algorithm created to generate complex-continuous chains of ice crystal, as observed in cirrus, is presented. This generation process begins with a single crystal generator module. This module can create individual crystals of varying shape and size within ranges determined by the user. After creating individual crystals, they are attached to the main chain one at a time, with a change of coordinate system method providing full control of the attachment process. This creates a chain with the desired number of crystals that each connect to the chain at a single point without any intersection. On completion the algorithm creates an output file that can be used as input to scattering models. |
