Zusammenfassung: | The transformation of global practice towards a green industry for sustainable development has been highlighted by many experts and researchers on various platforms. Regarding the Sustainable Development Goal 2030, the goals of the initiatives are to ensure low carbon emissions, control the greenhouse effect and generate renewable energy. The automotive industry has been identified as one of the major causes of these scenarios. Hence, this study was conducted to examine the essential green skills that need to be emphasized in the automotive industry. This study takes a mixed-method approach to obtain domains and elements of green competencies for workers in the automotive industry. The data collected using qualitative methods were analysed using the Fuzzy Delphi Method, Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) and NGT Modified. This study found a total of five main competencies namely: (1) Cognitive Competencies; (2) Technological Competencies; (3) Interpersonal Competencies; (4) Working Skills Competencies; and (5) Specific Competencies. It is hoped that the outcome of this study will guide the future training needs that focus on green skills. This study will also help to develop a high-quality work process for a sustainable environment. |
