Zusammenfassung: | This paper elaborates on the user acceptance risks and convenience associated with digital voting in a developing nation like India. It also details the execution of the digital voting process in various countries around the world. The purpose of this paper is to ascertain the viewpoint of Indian citizens towards digital voting by applying Technology Adoption Model 2 (TAM 2) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Tech. 2 (UTAUT 2) Models. A self made questionnaire was distributedamongst people of various age groups and varied professions. Analysis of the responses received was done using the Smart PLS software on factors like performance expectancy, willingness, trust in Tech., and government services trust. The results inferred that trust in Tech. and willingness is the two factors that affect the user’s behavioral intentions. In contrast, performance efficiency and Trust in Government services do not. From the analysis, it can also be inferred that citizens have a positive perception of accepting digital voting as the future of India’s voting. |
