Zusammenfassung:In this study, Nano particle size of Aluminium oxide were synthesised by Probe sonication method using Aluminium nitrate and physicochemical properties of the prepared nano particleswere characterized by X-ray diffraction (PXRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-Ray analysis (EDX) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The PXRD patterns of the Al2O3 nanoparticles could be indexed to thin sheet like structure. These nanoparticles were shows tremendous Photocatalytic degradation of various azo dyes mixtures like Methylene blue (MB), Acid green (AG), Congo red (CR), Direct green (DG), Dispersal orange-3 (DO-3) and Acid black (AB) under ultraviolet irradiation at room temperature. Effect of the amount of catalyst on the rate of photo degradation was investigated. An Al2O3 nanoparticle shows an appreciable application in waste water treatment (waste water collected from Vrishabhavathi River in Kengeri region, Bengaluru).
