Zusammenfassung: | Nowadays, growing global awareness and need for clean transportation means for people mobility. Lightweight electric vehicles such as electric bicycles, e-scooters, e-trikes becoming popular for urban transport. This paper proposes a novel design of an electric trike lightweight vehicle which is combined with multi energy sources; a stainless-steel solid disc flywheel as kinetic energy storage, lithium battery, and PEM fuel cell. The design prototype has been built, tested on a dynamometer, and analyzed. The result shown that the designated flywheel can improve the performance of the vehicle. Due to fuel cell character, which is certain stable pressure from 30-35psi of H2 require to energize 500 Watt BLDC, and during acceleration, lithium battery pack dominantly powering acceleration force and reached the maximum speed of the trike. The addition of flywheel smoothing the acceleration speed and adding the power gaining rolling resistance. Lesser horse power required to reach further distance, with clean and renewable energy storage used. |
