Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of the study is to compare the cutting times of the Al6061/Sic/Gr composite end milling process and the Carbide, High-Speed Steel (HSS) end mill cutter. The HSS end mill and the Carbide end mill are used as the experimental and control groups, respectively. The stir casting process was used to create the composite workpiece, and the milling operation was carried out in a CNC vertical machining centre with nine samples for each group. The chemical makeup of the composite is 90% Al6061, 5% silicon carbide, and 5% graphite. HSS and carbide both had experimental cutting times of 2.9 and 2.3 seconds, respectively. For HSS and carbide, the SPSS significance value is p=0.003, for HSS and carbide, p=0.001, and for PCD, p=0.002. Within the constraints of this work, drilling of an Al6061/SiC/Al composite showed that carbide required less cutting time than HSS. |
