Zusammenfassung:The objective of this research is to evaluate water quality of two different sources of water by comparing the various water quality physical and chemical water quality parameters with BIS standards. Two groups of twenty samples from a nearby pond and potable water sources were examined for quality parameters using BIS standards. By maintaining the pre-test power at 80%, the analysis’s findings are entered into statistical software. On the tested parameters from the two groups, an independent-samples t-test is run to determine the significant difference needed to determine the standards of water. On conducting a statistical analysis, it is observed that a significant difference between the two groups in terms of turbidity, electrical conductivity, chlorine and acidity (p0.05). When compared to RO water, it is determined that the pond water is not potable given the limitations of this study. In order to increase sustainability, the pond water needs to be treated before being used domestically.
