Zusammenfassung: | This paper discusses the experimental analysis of influence of quasi isotropic infill pattern on mechanical properties of FDM samples by varying the extrusion width. Tensile, compression, impact and flexure tests were conducted on specimens with varying nozzle diameters and their properties are studied. The nozzle diameters used are 0.25mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm and 0.6mm. The test results indicate that the mechanical properties are affected by the extrusion width. A gradual rise in properties are observed on increasing the nozzle diameter from 0.25 to 0.4 and 0.6 mm while 0.3 mm shows a decrease in the properties. Impact strength increases by 79% as we increase the nozzle diameter from 0.25 to 0.6 mm. An increase of 2.53% on compression strength, 44.2% on flexural strength, 79% on impact strength and 24.62% on tensile strength is observed. |
