Zusammenfassung:Industrial Revolutions have a profound effect on the entire planet, and this effect is becoming more pronounced each day. According to historical records, there have been four industrial revolutions, each of which has significantly impacted the entire world and its countries. During these Industrial Revolutions, significant changes have occurred in social life, economics, education, and so forth. Around the world, educational institutions had to address the needs and demands of the industry in each era. At present, the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) with its descriptive technologies is spreading over with lightning speed. In the Industry 4.0 scenario, educational policymakers and academicians need to rethink new teaching and learning methodologies to meet industry needs. The way in which English is taught has evolved significantly with each of the last three industrial revolutions. There is a need for new approaches and methods in teaching and learning English language in Education 4.0 scenario. The study discusses two points; firstly the role of the previous industrial revolution and its impact on Education with reference to English Language Teaching, and next understanding of the need for new approaches and methods of ELT.
