Analysis of service interruptions in bulk queuing theory

This study is a review paper on bulk queueing models and the various service interruptions faced in the same. Under current circumstances the concept of bulk queueing has gained astounding importance. Hence, service interruptions are also faced at a higher level. As a consequence, researchers need to develop models and systems to overcome these shortcomings. Due to server breakdown and vacation interruptions, services get interrupted and hence delayed. Considerable number of models in the field of queueing theory including bulk queueing systems have been developed and evolved over the years. And these studies can be used to resolve these interruptions. By way of this study, an attempt has been made to analyse the service interruptions and evaluate the work performed on bulk queueing models under various circumstances. The main objective is to deliver adequate data to the researchers as well as practitioners to use these models to overcome service interruptions and for further study on queueing models.
