IoT based smart college bus transport system

Students often miss the bus since they come late to the bus stop. If students traveling by bus get the exact live location of the bus, they can make the correct decision of when to come to the bus stop based on the bus location. Also, there are no current bus transport systems that provide the bus occupancy information in real-time to the administrator so that he can notify parents if their children have not boarded the bus. The smart bus transportation system aims to provide students with an application that can track the bus and get information like live location, occupancy, etc. The administrator can view information on bus routes and details of each student who boarded the bus at each stop and also send notifications to the parents if their children have not boarded the bus. A cloud-based platform is being developed to provide and update data to students and college administration on a continuous basis. The proposed system is cost-effective, consuming less power and taking up less space.
