Zusammenfassung:In times of technology, machines have become part and parcel of our day-to-day life. The field of civil engineering has not been left untouched by that very fact. As a civil engineer, we are to design a stable and strong foundation for these machines. Before designing the foundation, a beforehand idea of the behaviour of foundation of machine provides a further pathway. This paper presents an analysis of machine foundation for Single Degree Of Freedom (S.D.O.F) system. The analysis is done to know the behaviour of machine foundation considering its self-weight, stiffness of soil and its natural frequency, is presented for various cases by the use of MATLAB. The equations for analysis are derived from Newton’s Second Law. All the equations obtained for various cases are programmed on the MATLAB. The results are obtained in the form of displacement-time graph on the MATLAB.
