Zusammenfassung:Biochar is a carbon-rich organic substance, an organic amendment, and a by-product produced when biomass is pyrolyzed at high temperatures and low oxygen levels. Thus, biochar can generate environmentally beneficial farm-based renewable energy. Specifically, the quality of biochar is determined by several variables, including the kind of soil, metal, and raw material utilized in the carbonization process, the pyrolysis temperatures, and the amount of biochar put into the soil. It has been widely proven in past studies that applying biochar can boost crop growth and yield. This review highlights the impact of biochar and compost as soil amendments with poultry manure on lettuce growth, yield, and chemical composition.
